Practical AI for Building Companies with Adam Antony, WunderOps
There are plenty of AI consultants out there. Almost none of them come from a building company, and it shows. A building business has more moving parts than almost any other: a long sales cycle, a long build cycle, thousands of decisions baked into every job, and no two companies run the same. Generic AI tactics from other industries don’t survive that.
Adam is a builder who went all in on AI in his own building company, and now sets it up for other builders. In this session he cuts through the noise: which tools are actually worth picking up, why your data is the most valuable thing in your business, how to pull it into a single source of truth, and how to point AI at it. Because AI is the smartest person in the world in any field, but until you give it good direction and good data, all you get back is generalised.
Learning Objectives: from this session, you will learn about:
- The AI tools that actually move the needle in a building company, in plain builder’s terms, and the guardrails that keep you in control.
- Why your data is the most important asset in your business, why it needs a single source of truth, and the difference between your context (how you build) and your data (your numbers).
- Where to store each one, where to point AI, and how skills and plugins are becoming the new version of the SOP.
Action Items: after this session you should:
- List every place your business data currently lives: chats, emails, spreadsheets, your software, someone’s head. Pick the one place that becomes your single source of truth going forward.
- Point AI at one past job’s records and ask it something you’d normally guess at. What it cost, what blew out, what you’d allow next time. Keep querying it and use it to do a gap analysis on the job.
